Agentic Pharmacy
A research question about whether bounded automation can support non-clinical pharmacy operations without moving clinical judgement or patient decisions outside accountable human control.
Current maturity
This remains a concept, not a product, pilot or deployed system. The repository does not yet support narrowing it to a particular operational workflow, user group or validated problem.
Boundary before scope
Any future direction must exclude diagnosis, prescribing, dispensing decisions, patient-specific recommendations and autonomous clinical action. It must first establish a specific non-clinical workflow, data classification, decision rights, failure handling and evidence plan.
Evidence needed to proceed
- A named operational user and recurring non-clinical task.
- Evidence that the task is costly or error-prone enough to investigate.
- A map of inputs, permissions, escalation paths and accountable owners.
- A measurable comparison with the existing workflow.
